Realme and Coca-Cola are collaborating to release a special edition smartphone from the Chinese brand. It would probably be a Realme 10 with the famous Soda brand. Enough to get a lot of attention from the Indian public, the first market for the young company.

We’ve already seen smartphone makers use a Coca-Cola can as a reference for measuring the color of their photo sensors, but a phone with the famous soda brand on the back is a first.
A first render, which you can see at the top of this article, was recently released (via GSM Arena), but we didn’t know what brand of phone it was at the time. Given the latest posts on the Realme Twitter account, doubts are no longer allowed.

It reads “Something sparkles at #realme” with a link to a Realme India Store event page. We see an image that reads “Realme is ready to get really refreshing,” as well as a poster mixing Realmeow, the maker’s shift, with a bottle of coke.

Choosing to partner with an already installed smartphone brand is hardly surprising. It’s hard to imagine Coca-Cola getting its hands dirty, it’s better to go through a company whose job it is already. The operation obviously has an advertising purpose, the soda brand is undoubtedly trying to make people forget about its four consecutive rankings among the world’s biggest plastic polluters.
Keep in mind that if Realme occupies a modest place with us as the fifth brand, the Chinese company is a real hit in the Indian market, where it is battling for third place among the top sellers of smartphones with sales of around 15% market share per quarter fights for counterpoint. For example, this corresponds to more than 6 million sales in 2022. The merger with this young brand with a dynamic image is therefore interesting for an old sweet drink Lascar that has been in business since 1886.
And the smartphone itself then? In terms of design, it is very reminiscent of the Realme 10 or the Realme 10 Pro. It should be a special edition of the entry-level smartphone. There is little chance that this phone will be marketed in Europe. Also, we don’t promise to test it (which is a polite way of saying we won’t test it).
