Saber first came to public attention at the age of nine after a YouTube video of her landing a skate trick down a halfpipe went viral.
At the age of 11, she was wildcarded by surfing champion Sally Fitzgibbons to compete in the World Surf League Sydney International Women’s Pro Qualifying Series.
Ahead of the competition, the little legend took part in a controversial interview in which she called her father “fat” and said she’d spend her winnings on donuts, which caused a flurry of host Karl Stefanovic and the Today Show crew.
