Young entrepreneurs exchange experiences in the forum in Cuba

The event, which takes place as part of the 39th edition of the Havana International Fair (Fihav 2023), will host around a hundred young people from the Caribbean country, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Colombia, the Dominican Republic and Honduras until tomorrow. Mexico and Venezuela.

Managers from micro, small and medium-sized enterprises as well as from the state sector presented their experiences at the meeting as part of the panel dedicated to the importance of youth in digital transformation processes and innovations.

The event also discussed youth and innovation, ethics and social responsibility, women entrepreneurs and their contribution to socio-economic development.

In his address to the participants, specialist from the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, Israel Almeida, emphasized that young people must strive for an entrepreneurial spirit that is not only driven by profit, but also guided by a goal.

“It is today’s young entrepreneurs who have the power of the future to transform industries and create positive change as they face the challenges of the 21st century,” he said.

Meanwhile, the President of the Ibero-American Federation of Young Entrepreneurs, Matías Fernández, congratulated the Cuban initiative and assured that his organization will always support the event.

Fernández emphasized that companies “should not only focus on economic goals; “You must also focus on social responsibility.”

Miguel Jorge Méndez, general director of Guajiritos SRL, a company specializing in software development, explained that his company develops platforms to manage various sectors in the country such as education, health, tourism, transport and telecommunications.

He added that Guajiritos SRL wants to help young people create a life project in the largest of the Antilles.

On this fourth day of the 39th edition of Fihav 2023, new agreements were signed and France, Germany and the European Union celebrated their national holidays.
