A Belo Horizonte couple went viral on social media after the 18yearold took to the streets of the capital of Minas Gerais in a Batman costume to pick up his girlfriend at a prep class. Juan de Oliveira Tavares not only attracted attention, but also won five liters of açaí.
He and Giulia Sales da Costa Miranda, also 18, have been dating for five months.
“He was on vacation from college and picked me up every day from the prep school in the Pampulha area. This week we started talking about a SpiderMan costume he had and wasn’t using. I said I would give him a liter of açaí if he used it and a day later he picked me up with the clothes,” Giulia said.

Juan didn’t stop there. He decided last Wednesday (10) to get Giulia with the Batman costume that even had armor. As a reward, he would win the Açaí berry.
“I asked my neighbor for help because it’s difficult to walk in this costume. I took the bus, there was no way to sit in the car. When I got to the private school, Giulia was embarrassed, but then she passed.” ‘ said Juan.

On the way home, the couple also passed the Pampulha train station, where they drew more looks.
“People were watching him at the train station. Then we went home and when I arrived I bought five liters of açaí for R$70. It was on sale. I decided to post it, but I didn’t think it would spread that widely,” Giulia said.
As of Friday afternoon (12th), the post had more than 52,000 likes, 822 comments and more than 3,700 shares.
“I’m not making an appointment to bet on Açaí until today,” said a user of the social network.
