[Alerta Gatilho] The young woman identified in gossip profiles as Whindersson Nunes' new affair died this Friday (22). The news was confirmed by Jessica Vitória Canedo's family via social media. She was 22 years old and suffered from depression.
Earlier this week, prints of a supposedly intimate conversation between Jéssica and Whindersson appeared on the gossip pages. The two soon spoke out and said it was all fake news.
In the stories, the comedian noticed a Portuguese error in the text and also confirmed that he did not know who the woman in the photo was. “I have no idea who this girl is and this is a fake impression,” he commented to his networks. And he added: “I came? I write everything, I don’t know how to write “New Year’s Eve” but I know “soon”.”

Jessica herself made it a point to make it clear that she was the victim of a lie. “It was quite obvious that the intention was to ridicule me, as they had tried to do on other occasions. I've already lost people I loved so much because of something like this. So I ask: Why? What is the intention behind it? “What fun is it to make someone’s life hell like that?” he wrote in an excerpt posted on his profile.
“And I want to ask a question directly to whoever does this: What or how much do you earn? If your problem is with me, if you have something against me, then why don't you call me and we can solve this once and for all? How long are you going to keep making a “joke” like that? “How long are you going to keep me being mocked, cursed, threatened, and losing people I love?” he continued. Check it out in full:

Jéssica's solution, the girl was already severely depressed and in vain they attacked her and don't come to me. They blamed Whindersson and said everything there.

After the outbreak, Jéssica's mother also spoke out and called on people to stop attacking her daughter. “Well guys, I'm here first and foremost as a mother going through a difficult situation with her daughter. Because they published a lie. My daughter suffers from very severe depression, very serious, she tried it [se matar]like today, for the fourth time… So I come here as a mother to ask you: “Guys, for heaven's sake, stop posting this, my daughter doesn't even have social media,” said Inês Oliveira.

After the girl's death, the Internet was outraged by the profiles that spread the fake news and pointed out that they were responsible for what happened. The site name “Choquei” remained the third most discussed topic on X Trends (formerly Twitter).
Whindersson speaks up
In a note from his advisor to Quem, Whindersson Nunes lamented the young woman's death and appeared “stunned” by what had happened. “Nonstop Produções SA, the office responsible for the administration of Whindersson Nunes, publicly expresses the artist's position on the catastrophic dimension of a story fabricated on the basis of fake news,” he began.
“This Friday (22) Whindersson Nunes was surprised by the sad news of the death of young Jessica. The artist complains in confusion about the triggering of this new public massacre by the negative use of social networks. “I am extremely sad.” I remembered the day I lost my son. “Let no one suffer the pain of burying a child,” the statement continued. The company also emphasized that the company and the comedian “show solidarity with the family of young Jessica and vehemently reject virtual lynchings and the harmful use of social networks.”
