Kate Ritchie agreed, adding: “I remember you so clearly. I think I might even have your autograph in an autograph book.’
“What’s so nice about getting to know you and seeing the audience’s reaction, it feels like an old friend coming home, which is really, really nice,” added Alesha Dixon.
It comes after Beven revealed he asked his friend Dannii Minogue for advice ahead of his appearance on Australia’s Got Talent.

The singer was understandably nervous about appearing on television for the first time in 34 years, but said some words of wisdom from Dannii calmed him down.
“I met with Dannii before I went to AGT. She said to relax and enjoy it, and also said the discussions with the judges are important,” he told the Herald Sun.
Beven and Dannii have been friends for almost four decades since they appeared together on Young Talent Time from 1983-88.

Beven said her pep talk helped him find the courage to perform a classic John Farnham song on the popular reality talent show.
He added that appearing on the hit series would be a great way to step out of your comfort zone and shake the post-Covid blues.
Young Talent Time featured a core group of young artists singing both classic songs and hits of the day, while hopefuls participated in a weekly talent hunt.

Beven was one of the fan-girl favorites on Young Talent Time, along with fellow heartthrobs Joey Perone and Vince Deltito.
Beven stayed with the show for five years and became one of the show’s most popular cast members.
He didn’t put the mic on after YTT and still performs on cruise ships.

Earlier this year, Dannii Minogue spoke about the challenges she faced appearing on YTT as a child.
The 50-year-old said the show put pressure on her to juggle her schoolwork and rehearsals.
“I was the biggest nerd when I was on Young Talent Time. I was in the library at lunchtime doing my homework so I could go straight to rehearsals after school,” she explained on The Kyle and Jackie O show in August.
