Taylor and Brittany’s budding friendship has been making headlines since last month, amid Travis’ new romance with the pop star.
They apparently met on September 24 when Taylor went to Arrowhead Stadium for the first time to see Travis play, sending her fans into a frenzy.
Dressed in Chiefs colors, Taylor had a place of honor in the VIP box, where she was seen happily cheering on Travis alongside his mother.
Taylor reportedly bonded with Brittany at a post-game party that night, whose husband remarked at a press conference a few days later that Taylor were “really cool, good people.”
Less than two weeks later, Taylor watched Travis and his fellow Chiefs take on the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey – the same sprawling venue where Taylor performed in May as part of her massive Eras Tour.
Upstairs in a VIP box, the pop superstar cheered ecstatically on Travis amid a thicket of girlfriends including Blake Lively, Sophie Turner and Brittany.
She could also be seen enjoying some warm moments with Travis’ mother Donna as they watched the Chiefs beat the Jets.
Blake, who was accompanied by her husband Ryan Reynolds, was seen jumping up and down so enthusiastically that she almost suffered a wardrobe malfunction.
Meanwhile, Taylor maintains a blossoming friendship with Sophie as she goes through a divorce from her ex, Joe Jonas.
Taylor, who briefly dated Joe in the summer of 2008, has written several songs rumored to be about him, including the devastating song “Better Than Revenge.”
Joe and Sophie married in 2019 and separated last month. Since then, they have been engaged in a bitter custody battle that has made headlines.
Their main point of contention seems to be the place of residence of their two young daughters: Joe is in favor of the USA and Sophie is in favor of her home country Great Britain.
News of Travis’ romance with Taylor broke in mid-September, two months after he revealed on his podcast that he had unsuccessfully tried to give her his phone number at her concert in Kansas City.
The athlete said he wrote his phone number on a bracelet he planned to give to Taylor – but when he attended her show in Kansas City, his attempt to meet her backstage failed.
“So she’s not seeing anyone and isn’t — or at least she didn’t want to meet me, so I took it personally,” he joked on his podcast “New Heights,” which he co-hosts with his brother, fellow NFLer Jason Kelce.
Their public appearances as a duo have repeatedly gone viral, including a dinner they enjoyed after reportedly vacating the restaurant by paying for other guests’ meals in exchange for their departure.
