POSITION OFFERED: YOUTH ANIMATOR

Under the supervision of the Head of Youth Affairs, the holder of this position participates in the planning, organization and implementation of life-world-related activities for youth aged 12 to 17 years.

Tasks

  • Prepare and carry out social and leisure activities that meet the needs and interests of young people aged 12 to 17;
  • Plan and organize a weekly entertainment program.
  • Welcoming, integrating and including young people;
  • Organizing and participating in self-financing and fundraising activities for the implementation of certain special projects;
  • Actively participate in the promotion and recruitment of the youth sector;
  • Ensure contact with parents;

Job-specific requirements

Training: University degree in the field of leisure or community (leisure management and intervention, cultural activities or other related fields)

Previous knowledge: 1 year

Skills needed:

  • Knowledge of the municipal leisure environment, its values ​​and the realities of the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve district;
  • Dynamic, creativity, initiative and great organizational skills;
  • ability to work with the public;
  • Convey a positive image through appropriate behavior;
  • Ability to express oneself clearly and in good French;
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite);

working conditions

Status: Full-time employment (35 hours/week)

Work schedule: Monday to Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (on weekends depending on event and program)

Offered salary: From $17.00 to $18.31 depending on current pay scale and work experience.
