Youtubers Saucy and Honey who tried to spend the night at Target face up to seven years in prison

Two YouTubers face up to seven years in prison after they broke into a Target in Pennsylvania for a bizarre 24-hour nightly challenge to boost their channel’s subscribers.

The couple, known as Defiant and Honey, tried to hide in a store in Exton on February 22. However, West Whiteland Police arrested 25-year-old Johnson LaRose, also known as “Saucy”, and 24-year-old Charlotte Fisher, also known as “Honey”. – after the next day.

Authorities were called to Target when the alarm went off, but police searching the big box vendor were unable to find anyone inside.

The next day, Target employees discovered CCTV footage of a man and woman walking around the store for hours with their phones filming what was happening.

“It became a bit more of an investigation, trying to find out what they were doing, was there anything criminal?” Detective Scott Pezik said.

Neither Larose nor Fischer actually stole anything or destroyed any property. But they will be charged with trespassing, which carries up to seven years in prison.

The couple mainly records videos of pranks or attempts to complete tasks. Some examples include only eating at a gas station within 24 hours; one plays a prank on the other by serving fast food with the promise of homemade food; and distract each other by playing video games.

The couple filmed what they called “Target’s 24-hour night call” on their page for their followers in a video that was about 26 minutes long.

As seen on security footage, the couple mostly wandered aimlessly before attempting to build the fort.

Although they claimed to have spent the entire night at Target, police note that CCTV footage showed them leaving around 3 a.m., setting off an alarm that eventually led to their arrest.

Larose and Johnson did return to Target around 8 a.m. in an attempt to end the call.

A poorly thought out joke brought them about 4,000 subscribers, and the total number of their YouTube channels reached 21,000.

Pezik said the main offense committed by the couple was that the police and the store’s resources were wasted to track them down.

“When you go on a burglary call, you have a heightened sense of awareness. Suddenly you see someone there, or maybe they get scared and run away, our officers are well trained, but this is not the best situation for anyone,” Pezik said. “They didn’t mean to hurt anyone, but we want to make sure it doesn’t happen again.”

The couple were released on $25,000 unsecured bail and banned from every Target store in Pennsylvania.

Fisher is surprised by all the fuss and wouldn’t change a thing about their adventure.

“I mean, no regrets, just live and enjoy, a bit sad that it all came out of this, we were expecting a fine, nothing crazy,” Fisher told FOX 29.

Larose and Fischer are expected to appear in court again on March 24.
