The star of “Friends” was actually preparing his biographical film and wanted his role to be entrusted to Zac Efron. “I am honored to know that he thought of me to play his role. We will see. It would be an honor to do that,” the 36-year-old High School Musical actor told People.

This choice is not surprising: in the comedy “17 Years Again” the two actors played the same character 20 years apart. “He was a mentor to me, we made a really cool film together. I admired him, I learned comic timing from him. When we were filming 17 Again, it was so surreal for me to see him there. I learned so much from him, from his whole life.”

This would be an opportunity to pay tribute to his former partner one last time.
