The player concerned confirmed everything to the media on Thursday and stated that he had undergone surgery. The tear in the anterior cruciate ligament was also discovered during the operation. He hopes to recover in time for the start of the next campaign.

Ertz came into action after making a 12-yard catch during a game against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 10 of the regular season. That year he had 406 yards and four touchdowns on 47 receptions.

The Cardinals sit third in the NFL’s National Conference West Division with four wins in 12 games.
