Striker Zack Kassian returns to ice hockey at HC Sparta Prague.
The Czech first division team announced this on their social networks on Sunday.
The 33-year-old hockey player announced his retirement from the National Hockey League (NHL) last October after being released from his professional tryout with the Anaheim Ducks.
In the 2022-23 season, Kassian had a very difficult season with the Arizona Coyotes. He scored just two goals in 51 games and maintained a -18 margin.

The Windsor, Ontario native previously played for the Buffalo Sabres, Vancouver Canucks and Edmonton Oilers. He was also briefly a member of the Montreal Canadiens in 2015 without playing a game for the Bleu-Blanc-Rouge.
Before the start of the 2015–2016 season, Kassian was involved in a car accident with two women in the Quebec metropolis. He suffered fractures to his nose and left foot and was also drunk. Since he was suspended, he had to report to the NHL's substance abuse program. The CH traded him to the Oilers a few months later.
