Zara McDermott has revealed the reason she and boyfriend Sam Thompson didn't fall victim to the famous Strictly curse.
The Love Island star competed on the BBC show earlier this year alongside his professional partner Graziano Di Prima, but sadly bowed out during Halloween week.
On the Saving Grace podcast, Zara admitted that she “couldn't understand” how so many couples were affected by the famous curse and that she was just “really good friends” with Graziano.
She said: “It's really strange. “The Strictly curse is something people talk about that I physically can't understand.
“I can't understand how there's a Strictly curse.” “I've become really good friends with my partner.”
Zara McDermott has revealed the reason why she and boyfriend Sam Thompson didn't fall victim to the famous Strictly curse.
Zara hinted that she actually clashed with her dance partner Graziano backstage, admitting that they used to fight “like siblings.”
She said: “You very quickly become like brother and sister and have a bit of an argumentative relationship.” Plus, you have cameras in the room most of the time.
“To me, it wasn’t the environment in which something like that could ever happen.”
“I guess this has happened in the past, but people have affairs and relationships in the office all the time, so I feel like relatively speaking it probably isn't that different.”
On Wednesday Zara was reunited with Sam as he returned to the UK after being crowned winner of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! 2023.
Radio presenter Sam was crowned winner in Sunday night's final, beating Tony Bellew and Nigel Farage, where he received over 50 percent of the vote.
Zara proudly clutched a few balloons and smiled broadly as she waited for him.
Following their emotional reunion, the pair kissed and held each other's faces after spending four weeks apart.

Sam was accompanied on his flight by his best friend Pete Wicks, who greeted him in the jungle, while Zara stayed at the couple's home in London.
She had previously told fans of the show that she would not be in Australia due to her commitment to Strictly Come Dancing.
“Pete is leaving. “We laughed and joked about it a few times,” she explained in an Instagram post.
“But seriously; Sam thought I would still be on Strictly (God bless the optimism) so Pete cleared his entire schedule for two to three weeks to be there.
Previously, Sam shared a photo on his Instagram as he waited for his flight at Brisbane Airport after finally getting his phone back.
As he made his triumphant exit, the radio host admitted he was “overwhelmed with gratitude”.
