Zayn Malik gets his first film role in the animated film 10 Lives with Bridgerton actress Simone Ashley
Harry Styles isn’t the only former One Direction star trying his hand at acting.
According to Variety, Zayn Malik has just accepted his first film role in the animated film 10 Lives.
The 29-year-old singer-songwriter has joined a cast that includes Bridgerton actress Simone Ashley and three-time BAFTA winner Mo Gilligan.

Derry Girl star Dylan Llewellyn and Hotel Rwanda’s Sophie Okonedo will also voice characters in the new film.
Variety describes 10 Lives as the story of a “spoiled and selfish cat” who gets a tenth life after wasting her first nine.
Duck Duck Goose director Chris Jenkins is also set to direct 10 Lives.

News of Malik’s casting came just a day after he shared a rare selfie on social media.
The former One Direction star, 29, flaunted his pink tresses as he stared confused at the camera in his first post since last month.
For his return to Instagram, Zayn flaunted his chest tattoos as he donned a gray cardigan that was worn open and accessorized his look with a chunky silver chain.
His long locks fell down his face as he blinked at the camera while standing in bright sunshine.

Last Album: Malik last released an album in 2021. It was his third solo album titled Nobody Is Listening.
In response to his post, Zayn’s legions of fans asked him to release new music, and several commented on how much they missed him.
One commented: “I MISSED YOU MAN LIKEE A LOTHH LIKEE SO MUCHHHH THAT YOU CANNOT IMAGINE.”
Another delighted follower wrote, “PLEASE RELEASE NEW MUSIC.”
With another simply happy top, see him post again as they remarked: “Thanks for that proof of life selfie.”
