Zelensky completely changed after a month of war – Ukraine

Nearly 6 weeks of war against the Russian invaders left their mark even on the well-protected President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.

There’s war in Ukraine – and it’s been 41 days now. Since the invasion, Russian forces have invaded the country, killing people and bombing entire cities under orders from Kremlin despot Vladimir Putin. The Ukrainians are fighting back with all their might, even forcing the invaders to completely call off the assault on Kiev and now focus on the Donbass region.

But when the Russians leave, they leave the cities full of dead bodies. In the capital’s suburb of Bucha, the advancing Ukrainian army and the independent international journalists that followed were faced with a horrific picture. The streets were littered with dead people, believed to be civilians, who were apparently shot at random. Some were even handcuffed and blindfolded.

Kremlin spokespeople taunted the victims, accusing Ukrainians of killing their own countrymen and only placing their bodies there after Russian troops withdrew – although satellite images now reveal that the statements made by Putin’s captors are staggering lies. .

Selensky scarred by war

According to Russian narratives, the original purpose of the invasion was to “denazify” the country. The government in Kiev under President Volodymyr Zelensky should be overthrown. In telling his story, however, the Kremlin doesn’t care that Zelensky comes from a Jewish and Russian-speaking family – he is still stylized by Russians as a Nazi leader. According to Ukrainian sources, there have already been several attempts on his life that have so far been prevented.

All this has visibly affected the former actor and comedian over the last 41 days of the war, as the most recent photos from his visit to the Butscha massacre site show. The horrors he experienced hardened his facial expressions. Although the Ukrainian military has managed to record recent successes, the head of state shows physical and mental exhaustion.

According to “Kronen Zeitung”, a photo showing Selenski on February 23, the day before the Russian attack on his country, is now circulating on social media. He looks much younger, fresher. Even more glaring is the difference between today’s president and those images from the climax of his victorious 2019 campaign (see slideshow above) – as if they were showing two different people.
