Remaking a famous saga loved by fans is always complicated, but one director has done it brilliantly and it's available on myCANAL.

Often overshadowed by Star Wars, Star Trek has still managed to stand out and build a solid fan base. An adventure launched in 1966 with a story that spans no less than 12 television series and 13 films, and you have an impressive expanded universe here. In 2009, JJ Abrams decided the license needed a facelift and launched a reboot designed as a prequel and sequel to the previous films, honoring the source material and now available on myCANAL . The director releases his first feature film, simply titled Star Trek, which tells the story of James Kirk, a cheeky young man, and Spock, an alien with human and Vulcan blood, who join the crew of the USS Enterprise Fight against Nero, a member of the Romulan race who wants to destroy several planets. The success was so great that a sequel was released in 2013: Star Trek into the Darkness.
