72 firearms and more than 3,000 rounds of ammunition were confiscated during a search at Alain Delon's house in Douchy-Montcorbon (Loiret) last week, the Montargis public prosecutor's office said on Tuesday.

The 88-year-old, seriously ill star “did not receive a permit that would allow him to own a firearm,” emphasizes public prosecutor Jean-Cédric Gaux in a press release.

The search took place last Thursday after a report from the guardianship judge on February 8th: The agent responsible for Alain Delon's legal protection discovered during a visit that the actor owned a firearm, the judge explains.
They also discovered that there was a shooting range on the property of the actor, a major amateur and weapons collector. In 2014, he auctioned off his gun collection.
Seen extremely rarely in the cinema since the late 1990s, the actor made headlines in the summer of 2023 when his three children filed a complaint against his partner Hiromi Rollin, who is sometimes referred to as his partner, on suspicion of abuse of power.
The actor, who has lymphoma, has been under judicial protection since the end of January. The judiciary has appointed a legal representative to assist him with his medical follow-up at the center of a violent conflict between his three children, Anthony, Anouchka and Alain-Fabien.
The question of the presence of weapons at the Douchy estate, where the actor is said to have suggested he wanted to end his life, has been the subject of a new round of accusations between Anouchka and Anthony.
“The worst thing,” explains the actor's daughter in an interview with Elle magazine, “is that although Anthony and Alain-Fabien know that I hate guns – it's my father's thing, a masculinity from another time , but he has a whole collection of them.” – They walk around the house armed (…) My brothers think they are in the Wild West.”
The eldest sibling quickly responded on Instagram, calling his sister's interview “disastrous.”

“As far as I’m concerned, it’s been a long time since I went around armed and solved this ridiculous identification problem that cost me quite a lot in the past,” he adds.
In May 2019, Alain Delon returned to experience the lights of the Cannes red carpet and accept the honorary Palme d'Or.
