A new plaque posted by new firsttime parents went viral on social media, and the record moved not just the neighbors of their condo, but the entire internet.
Todd Wilson, 42, and wife Kristen Yanow, who live in New York, USA, told the Today portal that even before their son was born, they feared disturbing the neighbors in the house.
According to her husband, the walls separating the apartments are quite thin and the child’s crying could become a longterm problem. So he decided to ask his colleagues for a little patience.
“We have three or four neighbors on our floor and our walls are thin. I didn’t mean to terrorize anyone,” he said. Soon after, the plaque was placed on the door.
“We have a newborn. He is loud. He’s damn cute but really loud. Bear with us. Thank you for your patience.”
But that wasn’t even the most interesting part. Todd, a former bartender, thought it best to provide neighbors with a bottle of whiskey so they could have a drink whenever they wanted.
Mini bottles of tequila were also left in a bucket as gifts for coworkers. “Some neighbors took a few sips and said, ‘Can we meet Quint?'” he said.
The new dad also told the portal that he was relieved to hear the little one crying, although it was “a problem for some”.
That’s because the baby suffered a transient tachypnea — presence of amniotic fluid in the lungs — and spent five days in intensive care without making any sounds.
However, to everyone’s delight, the health of the little ones has stabilized and the family admits to being very happy.
