“My intention is … was to run from the start,” the 80-year-old Democrat said in an interview with ABC News on Friday.

His wife Jill Biden told the Associated Press earlier today that the only thing left to decide is when and where to make a campaign announcement. When asked about this interview, Joe Biden launched a joke figure without confirming or denying it.

However, he made it clear that he was in no hurry.

“There are too many other things that we need to do at short notice before I start campaigning,” he said of the reforms his government has implemented.

When asked if his age influenced his decision to run or not, he replied: “No. But it’s legitimate for people to ask questions about my age. It’s perfectly legitimate.”

“All I can say is, ‘Watch what I’m doing,'” he added, seemingly referring to his first two years in the White House.

Joe Biden would serve a possible second term at age 86. A medical examination conducted last week found him to be “vigorous” and “fit” for his duties.
