As previously reported, Mötley Crüe has been spending some time in the studio lately, along with new guitarist John 5; Bassist Nikki Sixx even went so far as to say that the arrival of the new six-string magician has revitalized the heavy metal band.
Now, during an interview with Trunk Nation on Sirius XM, John 5 has revealed some information about the band’s upcoming new songs.
He said (via Metal Hammer): “[Le producteur] bob [Rock] came and [disait] : “Okay, let’s try this and that and that again.” It was one of the most amazing experiences ever… we have so much cutting-edge technology these days… but we ended up in a space, like a garage, and it was like we were working on a song when we were in high school… It was great and we documented a lot of it.”
Of the tracks they’ve recorded so far, he added, “These songs are fucking heavy. I’m sounding like an excited kid right now, but they’re really heavy and awful. I can’t wait for them to come out. I’m so excited.”
He then clarified that the songs were almost complete – 98% in his opinion – and reiterated that they were “awful”.
