As you might expect, today Blizzard announced the introduction of hardcore realms this summer in WoW Classic during HCAS, a competition dedicated to this playstyle. Below is the initial information from Aggend.

As Senior Game Producer Agrend just confirmed on the Hardcore All-Stars stream, we’ve been working to bring official Hardcore Classic gameplay to WoW Classic. We were very excited about the community’s enthusiasm for hardcore, we watched with you and played a lot of hardcore ourselves.
