The proprietor of a pub remodeled to resemble the inn used on the set The Banshees of Inisherin has asked Taylor Swift out for a drink after finding out she was a fan.
Innkeeper Luke Mee, who runs JJ Devine’s Public House in Galway, Ireland, said pop star Taylor Swift was “very welcome” to come to the pub and “enjoy herself”.
This comes after Swift revealed she was a fan of the “authenticity” of the original pub used for the set of Martin McDonagh’s dark 2022 comedy on Achill Island, County Mayo.
After the pub was dismantled after filming was completed, Mr Mee took an interest in it and rebuilt it 106 miles away on the mainland in hopes it would become a tourist attraction.
Mr Mee said the pub was entirely original and was rebuilt using the set materials, salvaging them and taking screen shots of the film.

The bartender said he reserved a free pint for the superstar singer should she visit the replica bar after it officially opens next month.
He told the Daily Telegraph: “She would be very welcome to come down to the pub and enjoy herself.” He joked: “You can have anything you want as long as it’s Guinness!”
Once filming was complete, the set was quickly taken apart and left to decay before innkeeper Mr Mee showed any interest, according to RTÉ.
He said: “I had heard that the set had been dismantled and the parts sat in a yard in Achill for months without anyone caring.”
“All the structural parts were in good condition so I took them back to the courtyard behind Mee’s Bar here in Kilkerrin in Galway and set about restoring the legendary pub to its former glory.”
“Everything down to the window panes has been painstakingly rebuilt with the help of family, friends and neighbors.” Hours and hours have gone into this project which now stands on the site of our bar in Kilkerrin.”

Customer Denny Connolly, 66, pets a donkey named Holly at the pub that appears in Martin McDonagh’s film The Banshees of Inisherin.
The pub is marked by a key scene in the film where the friendship between Colm and Pádraic, the characters created by Brendan Gleeson and Colin Farrell, breaks down.
Set at the end of the Irish Civil War in 1923, the film follows both Colm and Pádraic as they cope with the breakdown in their relationship.
Brendan Gleeson’s character Colm decides that his longtime friend Pádraic, played by Colin Farrell, is too boring for him and decides to end their friendship, much to his friend’s dismay.
Mr Mee and his family hope the pub will become a tourist attraction for fans of the critically acclaimed film, where customers can enjoy live music and take photos.
