Two women were murdered in a residential building in Longueuil late Wednesday morning. The victims are a sixty-year-old and an eighty-year-old.
The two lifeless bodies were found at around 11:30 a.m. in a residential building on Boulevard des Ormeaux near the intersection of Rue Mousseau.
Both deaths were discovered at the scene.

The son of one of the two victims was on site when the police arrived and had to be taken to hospital to be treated for nervous shock. It would be a man in his 30s who is currently considered a “person of interest” at this event.
He should be received by the investigators later in the evening.

A security perimeter was set up around the building and investigators were on site in the afternoon to meet with potential witnesses in the neighborhood.
Many neighbors reported that they had heard women’s screams coming from this apartment building in recent days. “Obviously it seemed to be bubbling up. It screamed really loudly, but I didn’t know why,” said a neighbor across the street.
Additionally, a journalist going door-to-door in the neighborhood discovered a retractable knife that had been left on the grounds of a residence directly across from where the tragedy occurred.
The weapon will be analyzed to determine whether it could have been used in the crime.
