The Nothing Phone (2) has been on the market for a few months, but its predecessor is still very convincing. The Phone (1) is a model that we really liked in our test. It is particularly characterized by its transparent back, on which a large number of LEDs are inserted. In addition, it has other advantages and is even more recommended because the price has fallen by 180 euros.

Nothing phone (1) at the best price?
A phone that is exceptional
The Nothing Phone (1) scores with its very original design, its transparent back covered with LEDs and its shape reminiscent of an iPhone. The glowing icon on the back of the phone not only brings an aesthetic change but also new features. It is possible to use it as a flash, adapt it to different ringtones when there are incoming calls or display the battery level when the smartphone is charging.
With its flat edges and thin bezels around the screen, its IP 53 certification and Gorilla Glass 5, you have a very successful design and handling. Its OLED screen has a slightly low brightness, but for most applications it is more than enough to enjoy your content. It also benefits from a 120Hz refresh rate, which allows for smooth and pleasant navigation of the interface. There is also an always-on mode, which is disabled by default.
Always recommended
Its successor raises the bar in terms of performance, but with its Snapdragon 778G+ chip, the phone (1) ensures navigation without slowdowns. It can even handle 3D gaming, although without pushing the graphics to the maximum. The autonomy is also impressive with all-day use. Charging, on the other hand, is slow, limited to 33W and takes between 1 hour 30 minutes and 2 hours, which puts it in the low range.
As for the photography part, the phone (1) has a dual 50 megapixel sensor. The main lens is quite good and can capture good details. The glyph on the back allows you to vary the lighting like a ring light. The ultra-wide-angle module is a little behind, but we can take decent shots with it. However, we would have liked a slightly faster night mode.
