It's not about it being too cold to play. It's about ensuring that around 70,000 people are off the roads during a severe winter storm. This is a public safety issue.
The decision was made by the NFL, the Bills and Steelers and the state government.
Would this matter if the Bills had a dome? No, the game would still have been postponed due to the travel ban.
The new time, 4:30 p.m. on Monday, gives Highmark Stadium staff the opportunity to prepare the field and stands for players, staff and fans.
It does not affect the Monday night game window.
News of the postponement is receiving mixed reviews from fans who were looking forward to the first game on Sunday night.

“Well, I’m glad I’m not going to Buffalo because we have tickets to the game,” Bills fan Marcia Bartalo said. “Honestly, I don’t care when the game takes place. We will be there.”
“I was hoping it would happen because I think the weather would play a role for the Steelers. I think it would help the Steelers, but I still like our chances with it being Monday,” said Steelers fan, Jonathan Dubreuil.
