This Saturday, a large march led by thousands of Britons took place in London (capital) to support international efforts to end attacks by Israeli occupation forces on civilians in the Gaza Strip.

During the demonstration, those present gathered at Bank Junction in central London to begin the march to Parliament Square, where the government offices are located. Representatives of various population and religious groups gathered on the march.

Those present carried Palestinian flags and chanted pro-freedom slogans and chanted “Free, free”, they also called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, they also called for an end to the British government's arms exports to Israel and called for the expulsion of the Israeli ambassador in London.

The past 14 weeks have seen demonstrations of solidarity with the Palestinian people and rejection of the Israeli bombings in Gaza, which have resulted in the murder of at least 23,843 Palestinians, mostly women and minors, since October 7 last year.

The Gaza Strip Health Ministry reported that there are at least 60,317 injured, with thousands of victims so far lying under the rubble or on the streets, with doctors and civil defense teams unable to access them.

According to local media, 80 percent of the civilian population of England and the United Kingdom, including Scotland, agrees with an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, regardless of popular will. The British government declared that the Israeli regime had the right to continue the genocide in Gaza.

In this spirit, the United Kingdom joined United States (US) airstrikes against cities in Yemen in the early hours of Friday.

Analysts believe that the air strikes and attacks by US warships against Yemen endanger the security and stability of the region as well as freedom of navigation in the Red Sea and allow the war conflict to spread to areas outside Palestine.
