In the final chapter of Globo's nine o'clock soap opera Terra e Paixão, it was revealed who the real culprits were for Agatha's (Eliane Giardini) death. Those who expected that the outcome would already be resolved were surprised to learn that the real culprits had deceived everyone.
In a conversation between Angelina (Inez Viana) and Gentil (Flavio Bauraqui), the truth comes to light. The former La Selva employee seemed calm about the risk of arrest. “The fact that I changed the cups was considered selfdefense,” she said, but at that point her friend was surprised. “But no one knows what actually happened,” he revealed in Land and Paixão.

From then on, a flashback began where Agatha spoke to Angelina, exactly as she had told the police. However, contrary to what the employee revealed, the villain didn't put poison in the tea and she didn't have to change it. It was Angelina herself who poisoned her friend's drink, which she drank without realizing it.
“What have you done, Angelina? I have the antidote, I’ll finish you,” Agatha screamed as she felt sick. At that moment the scene returned to the present and the maid thanked her friend. “If it weren’t for you, I don’t know what would have happened.”

There was no continuation of the scene, just that the friends laughed in the present and remembered that the villain would still harm many people if she was not stopped. It was therefore assumed that the shot was actually fired by Irene (Glória Pires).
