The 42nde The annual Le Canadien blood drive to benefit Héma-Québec was held Monday at the Bell Centre. The Habs players, coaches, other members of the club management, Youppi! and the former Canadiens took turns on the amphitheater floor throughout the day.
The blood drive was started in 1981 by Jean Béliveau and former Montreal Forum announcer and Canadiens publicist Claude Mouton. At the entrance to the blood drive, Gabrielle Gendron, Liva Desgagnés and Maryse Roy were happy to meet Brendan Gallagher.
