Tyler Bass experienced every kicker's nightmare on Sunday night when he missed a field goal that led to the Buffalo Bills' loss and elimination.
Less than two minutes before the end of the fourth quarter and a deficit of 27:24, the 26-year-old had the chance to tie the game against the Kansas City Chiefs. However, he missed his 44-yard attempt. This allowed their rivals to regain the ball, use the remaining time and secure their ticket to the American NFL Association finals.

“Ultimately we can pass the defeat on me,” said Bass during the press conferences after the second-round playoff duel. I need to improve my accuracy.”
It was the third time in four years the Bills lost a walk-off to the Chiefs.
“I've been playing here long enough to know that I have to succeed [ce type de botté], Bass added. It just didn't work. I feel bad. I love this team and it hurts a lot.”
After the game, quarterback Josh Allen came to his kicker's defense.
“I wish he wasn’t in this situation. “You win as a team and you lose as a team,” said the man who scored three touchdowns against the Chiefs.
“A play doesn’t define a game, it doesn’t define a season.”
Regardless, the Bills won't play again this season after losing in the second round three times in as many years.
