Thanks to his powerful and crystal-clear voice, Alexis Bouchard-Leblond convinced the four trainers The voiceSunday before joining the D'Amour team.
The 23-year-old young man from Quebec has been combining his two greatest passions since childhood: music and sport. He began playing the piano at the age of 4, encouraged by his musician father, Jef Leblond, while he was moving.

In addition to coaching young people who play football and basketball, Alexis also sings with her father two to three times a week in restaurant bars in the old capital. For a year now, the two men have been enjoying covering big hits with their duo Two of a Kind.
“I always played with my dad for fun, but it became more and more concrete,” he told QMI Agency.

His father, who works in a recording studio, urged him to go to La Voix and his pride could be seen on his face at his son's blind audition. In addition to playing the guitar, the latter has already played the piano and drums and is starting to write his own songs.

France D'Amour, who was also active in the restaurant-bar sector in her early days, was able to convince Alexis to join her team after her powerful rendition of the song Simple Man by the group Lynyrd Skynyrd.
“I come from the same school, I did restaurant bars, I know where you are and where I can take you,” the coach told him.

Alexis has always been a great athlete. In high school, he was named Athlete of the Year twice. Until his knee injury in Secondary 5, he played three sports a week, including soccer and basketball.
“My way of continuing to play sports was to become a coach. I never stopped training, but I had to stop competitive sports. Nowadays, sport is for fun and to keep myself in shape. Coaching creates contact between enthusiasts of the same discipline. I love it,” admits Alexis, who wants to maintain this balanced life while also focusing on singing.

“I have a reputation for always working here and there, especially because I have so many projects that take up so much time. I have to keep all my passions active in order to fulfill myself.”
He dreams of a musical career, but will not give up his studies as a physical education teacher at the University of Laval in Quebec. “It gives me an option in case it doesn’t work out musically. I’m in the third year of my bachelor’s degree.”
