Tourist sues resort after scorpion stings his testicle while sleeping

According to North American television network ABC, a man staying with his family in the Palazzo Tower of the Venetian Hotel had a disturbing experience on the night of December 26th. The person suddenly woke up due to severe pain in the intimate area.

When Farchi, the guest in question, reported the incident to the station, he mentioned, “I didn’t know what it was. I reached out to see what was happening under the covers and felt another sharp pain.” He claims he was stung at least three times and when he took off his underwear he noticed a scorpion attached to it held the object. The species of arachnid and the toxicity of the venom are unknown.

Pictures published by the guest himself and his lawyer show that the scorpion is about 2.5 centimeters long. After being treated at a local hospital, the man explained that he had to pay for the room he was staying in and decided to sue the hotel.

In response, the resort issued a statement to local television saying it “has protocols in place for all incidents” and assured that “they can confirm this.” [os protocolos] Farchi's attorney, Brian Virag, expressed outrage and said, “No one in Las Vegas should be exposed to deadly scorpions while they sleep, especially in their private parts, their testicles.”
