Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene told Emily Maitlis to fuck off after the British journalist questioned her about her conspiracy claim that Jewish space lasers started the California wildfires.
The former BBC presenter confronted the Republican congresswoman at Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago headquarters on Super Tuesday after the former president prevailed in all but one state.
Maitlis, who now hosts the News Agents podcast, first asked Greene, 49, what message the GOP had for Trump challenger Nikki Haley after Tuesday's results and who the former president should choose as his running mate.
But the journalist, in her typical fashion, didn't shy away from tough questions, asking why “so many people who support Trump love conspiracy theories” and pointing to Greene's controversial comments that the deadly 2018 Camp Fire was started by “Jewish space lasers.” .
Greene, apparently frustrated by the nature of the questioning, argued that Republicans “like the truth” and accused Maitlis of “spreading conspiracy theories” before ending the conversation by telling her to “go away.”
The presenter-turned-podcaster is known for interviewing high-profile figures, most notably Prince Andrew, whose hour-long Newsnight interview with Maitlis partly led to him withdrawing from public life and being stripped of his royal titles.

Maitlis stopped Greene on Tuesday after Trump claimed victories in 14 of 15 state primaries.
The former TV news anchor asked the Georgia Republican what the “message for Nikki Haley should be tonight.”
Greene responded: “We've encouraged them to get out and support President Trump, and I think the clear message tonight is that President Trump is the clear frontrunner.” He's the winner of our Republican primary and it's time for Nikki Haley “To get out and support him.”
Maitlis also asked whether Trump was “closer to picking his running mate” and whether Greene “should be on that list.”
“That's the question everyone is asking, and no, I don't think Nikki Haley should be on the list.” “But of course President Trump will decide who he wants as vice president,” Greene said.
Maitlis doubled down and asked again, “Would you like to be on this list?”
Greene told her that Trump had a “long list” and that she would support Trump in any way she could, but added, “I can assure you it won't be Nikki Haley.”
Maitlis asked why “so many people who support Donald Trump love conspiracy theories, including yourself,” adding, “He seems to attract a lot of conspiracy theorists.”
Greene, apparently frustrated by the nature of the questioning, argued: “We like the truth” and accused Maitlis, the left and the media of “spreading more conspiracy theories” than Trump's supporters. Maitlis hit back, asking, “What about Jewish space lasers?”, but Greene ended the conversation by telling her to “talk about Jewish space lasers and fuck off.”
The Camp Fire in California in November 2018 killed 85 people and was caused by faulty equipment from the Pacific Gas and Electric Company. Greene linked PG&E to a company she claimed made space lasers and also to the former Democratic governor of California
The journalist then asked Greene why there were so many obvious conspiracy theorists in Trump's party, claiming the congresswoman was in their ranks.
“Well, let me tell you, you are a conspiracy theorist and the left and the media are spreading more conspiracy theories.” We like “the truth.” “We support our Constitution, our freedoms and America first,” Greene responded as she tried to walk away.
But Maitlis interrupted him and asked, “What about Jewish space lasers?” Tell us about Jewish space lasers.'
Greene repeatedly said, “We're all done here,” as she tried to cut short the interview before adding, “Why don't you talk about Jewish space lasers and why don't you piss off?”
Maitlis appeared pious and seemed pleased by the encouragement, giving a small smile to the camera as Greene stormed off.
Maitlis' questioning arose from a now-deleted Facebook post in which Greene wrote in November 2018 that she believed California's deadliest wildfire may have been caused by space lasers linked to the Rothschilds and former Gov. Jerry Brown To clear the way for a fire – rapid transit system.
In the post, she detailed how the devastating Camp Fire that killed 85 people came about, saying, “There are too many coincidences to ignore.”
Greene attempted to link the Pacific Gas and Electric Company – whose faulty equipment caused the fire – to Rothschild Inc. through one of its board members in an anti-Semitic dog whistle.
The cause of the fire is no secret as PG&E pleaded guilty and agreed to pay more than $25 billion in damages.
Trump and Biden both had good nights, but each suffered a surprising defeat
Trump delivered his speech in the gilded splendor of Mar-a-Lago's Grand Ballroom
Meanwhile, Trump said Tuesday that Nov. 5 will be the most important day in American history as he vowed to rebuild America after three years of decline under President Joe Biden.
Under the chandeliers and gilded ceilings in the ballroom of his palatial Mar-a-Lago home, the former president was feted by family and potential courtiers as he moved ever closer to the Republican presidential nomination.
The audience at the former private club in Florida was thrilled as the former president took the stage while Trump focused on his upcoming coronation as the man to face Biden in the November general election.
“This is an incredible group of people,” he told the crowd of supporters, donors and party officials. “We have some incredibly talented people in this room, including politicians, who have helped me from the beginning.”
Trump said there has “never been anything as conclusive” as the primary results.
Trump didn't even mention his challenger's name (unlike his victory speech in New Hampshire, when he railed against her), but continued his march toward the presidential election, firing new salvos against Biden.
Trump was watched by family members. Left to right: Eric Trump, Lara Trump, Kimberly Guilfoyle, Donald Trump Jr. Tiffany Trump is on the far right, but there was no sign of Melania
“November 5th will go down as the most important day in the history of our country,” he said of the presidential election.
“We are not respected at the moment, our country is known as a joke.” It is a joke.
“Other leaders … cannot believe what has happened to us because three years ago we were by far the most respected country in the world.”
However, Haley is now expected to consider whether 30 percent polling in a few states is enough to continue her campaign.
