The 2022 presidential elections are now complete in 59 countries. According to TSE, the presidential elections had already ended for some expatriate Brazilian voters by midday.
According to the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), outside of Brazil, 697,078 voters are eligible to vote, up 39.21% from the last election in 2018. Lisbon is the city with the most voters, and the United States is the country with the largest electoral college .
In Brazil, voting will be unified with Brasília time, so it will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The result, including that of the polling stations abroad, is only counted when it is completed.
The previous results shared on social networks are created from the photos of the ballot boxes (BUs), documents are printed from the electronic voting machines at the end of each session. The count applies only to the office of President, as voters residing outside the country vote in the transit model, which includes only the election of the President of the Republic.
From these photos, the authenticity of the document and the official number of votes registered in each ballot box can be verified by reading the QR code of each bulletin in the TSE Boletim na Mão app.
The BUs are not the official disclosure of the TSE and the votes relate to what each candidate received in that particular section, not the country as a whole.
At the time of writing, current Brazilian President Jair Messias Bolsonaro is winning in Israel and Japan, while Lula has an advantage in Oceania and in the European countries disclosed so far.
Australia
Australia has just five polling stations this year in Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbaine, according to the TSE.
Lula was also the one who got the most votes. According to SBS, Australia’s public television, Lula won 3,672 votes to Bolsonaro’s 1,917 a 54.8% to 28% win.
SBS said that of the 15,390 voters eligible to vote in Australia’s first round, 44% went to the polls a total of 6,785 people. Ballot boxes in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Canberra and Perth showed the PT victory.
New Zealand
Four polling stations were used in New Zealand: 1690 1693 1691 1689, all at the Brazilian Embassy in Wellington, the country’s capital. This was the first place to finish voting as it was 16 hours ahead of Brazil by time zone.
Former President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) received 329 out of 458 votes, a 71% victory. Current President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) had 71 votes. Ciro Gomes (PDT) received 18 votes, Simone Tebet (MDB) 8.

The final number of bulletins published on the Internet is as follows: 5175 for the current President and 1348 for Lula.

FINAL FIGURES IN ISRAEL
In Israel, Bolsonaro took first place with 45.97% of the vote. Lula is second with 38.63%.
In 2018, Bolsonaro received 66.5% of the vote and Haddad only 6.8%. There was a change in the voting of Brazilians in Israel. Even if Bolsonaro still has the most votes. pic.twitter.com/AQlzE6zDCh— BrazilIsrael Institute (@ibi_br) October 2, 2022
Europe
In Europe, the census and bulletins are also published. Some results have already been published across the BUs, such as in Finland, Belgium, Hungary and Poland.
Portugal, one of the countries with the most voters, is one of the most anticipated, but it will suffer delays due to an infringement by a voter who voted twice, which meant electronic voting machine votes had to be counted again.
In European countries where the result has already been published, former President Lula (PT) has won over current President Jair Bolsonaro.
In Brussels (Belgium), Lula won with 838 votes against Bolsonaro’s 435.
