The grand finale of the block on Sunday was a huge ratings winner for Channel Nine with 1.384 million Tube viewers tuning in to watch the houses go up for auction.

The question on everyone’s mind was clearly which team would be crowned champions as viewers glued to their screens awaiting the stunning announcement.

The gripping home renovation series continued to build momentum, with more than twice as many viewers tuning in to the finale as the premiere.

Channel Nine made ratings history with a whopping 1.692 million Tube viewers watching the final fifteen minutes to see Omar and Oz emerge victorious.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t good news as Sarah-Jane and Tom revealed they must sell their Ford vehicle to make ends meet after making a dismal $20,000 profit on their home.

Elsewhere, two homes failed to sell during the finals, heartbreaking for some contestants.

And on Monday, auctioneer Damien Cooley weighed in on the drama.

Cooley told Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa Show what will happen to the houses that passed.

“So they’re going to go back to the market, they’re most likely looking for either a new buyer or possibly one of the buyers who was there and didn’t bid,” he told radio hosts.
