An Algerian police officer was shot dead and his body was found charred on a street in Sidi Bel Abbès in the west of the country. On Monday, six suspected suspects involved in this macabre crime were arrested.
According to a press release from the public prosecutor's office, the body of the victim, who was a police officer working at the wilaya security of Sidi Bel Abbès, was discovered on the road leading to the municipality of Aïn Trid.

The investigations by the security authorities led to the arrest of six suspects on Monday, four of whom were taken into preventive detention and two others were under judicial supervision by the investigating judge.
The main suspects, whose identities have not been revealed, are accused of “founding a criminal organization, premeditated murder, participation and destruction of traces of the crime in order to obstruct the work of justice.”
The investigating judge also placed the other two people under judicial supervision for “failure to report a crime,” according to the package’s press release, quoted by local media, including Radio M.
