Forward Pierrick Dubé was scheduled to play at Place Bell on Wednesday night against the Laval Rocket, for whom he played from 2022 to 2023, but his plans changed significantly as the Washington Capitals recalled him that morning.
The native of Lyon, France, was entitled to a big reward for his successes with the Hershey Bears, the “Caps” school team of the American Hockey League. This season, the player, who has never been drafted by a National League club, has collected 24 goals and 10 assists for 34 points in 50 games.

Dubé has yet to play a match on the Bettman circuit in his career. However, that could change if head coach Spencer Carbery decides to use him in Thursday's game against the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Pilot is expected to be without Nic Dowd, who injured his lower body in Tuesday's duel against the New Jersey Devils.
Coming back to the newcomer: During his stay in Laval he collected 32 points in 44 games. The former Quebec Remparts, Shawinigan Cataractes and Chicoutimi Saguenéens in the QMJHL also wore the uniform of the Trois-Rivières Lions in the ECHL.
