A Spanish woman who was staying with her husband in the state of Jharkhand (India) was the victim of a gang rape on the evening of Friday, March 1, 2024. Three suspects were arrested the next day, but local law enforcement continued to search for other people, police officer Pitamber Singh Kherwar told the Times of India, relayed by AFP.
Vincent and Fernande, two Spanish influencers, were brutally attacked while in India.

The victim and her husband were sleeping in a tent when they were attacked. They were taken to hospital after the Spaniard managed to alert a patrolling police vehicle, the agency said. An investigation has been launched. The couple took a trip around the world on a motorcycle, which they talked about in Instagram posts, and had visited Pakistan before arriving in India, reports Le Parisien.

The two Spaniards filmed a video from the hospital where they were treated in which they gave an emotional account of their attack, reports the daily Ile-de-France. “They beat us and stole our things, but not much because they just wanted to rape me,” the 45-year-old victim said in the story posted on the couple's Instagram account.
“My mouth is destroyed, but Fernanda is in worse condition than mine,” her husband said. In the video, he said the rape was committed by “seven men.” The two bikers explained that the attackers attacked them with stones and helmets and that the jacket the Spaniard was wearing helped “soften the blows a little”.
