Rio Singer Adriana Calcanhotto, 57, performed with the “Gal: Sacred Things Remain” tour in São Paulo this Thursday night. Gal Costa died in November last year at the age of 77. During her performance, Adriana also paid tribute to Rita Lee, who died last Monday at the age of 75.
At one point in the show, the singer was holding a São Paulo flag and had her breasts on display, alluding to one of the iconic moments in Gal’s career when she flaunted her breasts while singing the song in 1994 “Brasil”, by Cazuza, on the stage of the Imperator Theater in Rio. At that time Brazil was holding its second presidential election after the passage of the 1988 federal constitution.
