Alfa Romeo Giulia Speciale: 15 units in Montreal Green exclusive to Canada

Alfa Romeo uses the Canadian Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend to present a limited edition of its Giulia compact sedan. Fifteen examples will be produced only for Canada and all will be painted in Montreal Green, an iconic color previously reserved for the Quadrifoglio Performance version.

The Giulia Speciale is based on the Veloce four-wheel drive version and adds the Quadrifoglio’s adaptive suspension, which adjusts damping in real time to optimize road holding, sometimes comfort. Of course, this is done taking into account the driving mode selected via the wheel on the console.

In addition to the Montreal Green, the car’s exterior stands out with a black finish for the emblem, grille and mirror caps. The 19-inch wheels partially hide brake calipers painted yellow.

Inside, there are red stitching on the steering wheel, dashboard, center armrest, shifter and door tops, carbon fiber inserts on multiple surfaces, black leather sports seats and a Harman Kardon sound system.

On the engine side, however, nothing changes compared to the Veloce version. The Giulia Speciale makes good use of the supercharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that develops 280 hp and 306 lb-ft of torque through an eight-speed automatic transmission. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 5.1 seconds.

“Alfa Romeo and the city of Montreal have a proud relationship, and the new Giulia Speciale model helps enhance that relationship by offering consumers an unparalleled driving experience and attractive looks unique to Canada,” said Larry Dominique , CEO of the Alfa Romeo brand.

The 2022 Alfa Romeo Giulia Speciale is priced at $71,995 plus freight and delivery charges of $2,095. While waiting for the 15 specimens to arrive at the brand’s retailers later this month, it’s possible to admire them as part of the Formula Peel event, which runs until Sunday in Montreal.
