A scandal has broken out over lurid sex parties at an army officers' club in Russia.
The Officers' House of the Central Military District in Yekaterinburg is used for ceremonial funerals of high-ranking soldiers killed in Vladimir Putin's war against Ukraine, as well as other military events.
It is outrageous that it is also used for BDSM parties with naked revelers from the so-called Blue Velvet group with over 300 members.

“They film all their parties and post them on their private social media channels,” a source said.

“The essence of the group is getting together, getting naked, drinking and dancing.”
Complaints were filed with the city's attorney general's office after an “erotic party” in the House of Officers library.
“The partygoers allegedly wore see-through underwear, drank alcohol and took drugs,” local news agency E1 said.
Tickets cost between £5 and £10.
“We consider it unacceptable to hold such events in the House of Officers,” said war advocate Ekaterina Ipatova, coordinator of the Volunteer Company project.

“There are nightclubs for parties, but holding them in the officer’s house is blasphemy.”
A Telegram channel associated with major pro-Putin television propagandist Vladimir Solovyov decried the “desecration of the place where farewell ceremonies are held for the military men who gave their lives for their fatherland.”

Georgy Podkorytov, deputy chairman of the House of Representatives, was forced to resign because of the BDSM parties.
“I am upset that the House of Officers has been caught up in the scandal and throwing mud at us,” he said.
He admitted: “I was also involved in this scandal.”
Sergei “Zergulio” Kolyasnikov, 44, a pro-state military blogger and Stalin supporter with 307,000 Telegram followers, said: “I don’t care what people do.”
“It’s important to me WHERE.
“The farewell of our fallen soldiers will take place in the House of Officers.”
He posted: “Sniffle [cocaine] Wherever you want, but not in the officer's house of the Central Military District of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and … during the war.'
Among the funerals of fallen Russian officers that took place in Yekaterinburg was that of the prominent war correspondent for the Russian state propaganda media, Rostislav Zhuravlyov, 34.
The funeral ceremony of First Lieutenant Denis Yefanov, a volleyball coach who fought for Putin, as well as the farewell ceremony of Major Rishat Izatullin also took place here.
