Convertini underwent surgery at Rome’s San Filippo Neri Hospital and thanks the doctors in the post: “Thanks to Dr. Scopelliti and the hospital staff put my nose and eye back in place.” He is shown to fans in a hospital bed with band-aids on his face. “In the last few weeks I’ve been working despite a completely destroyed face, a black eye, a broken nose and stitches. Of course, because of the sense of duty instilled in my family and my beloved Puglia. The old values of our grandmothers and grandfathers: family, work, respect, precisely the sense of duty. But now Beppe Convertini has to rest: “I stopped for a few days because I couldn’t do anything else and had an operation. In the hospital there are many meetings with people who are really suffering and need help – he wrote: “Let’s at least remember to give a smile, which is the most important therapy next to prayer.”
