British Secret Service: Censorship in Russia “paranoid” news

According to British intelligence experts, the suppression of criticism of Russia’s war of aggression in Ukraine is taking on absurd characteristics in Russia. Authorities are “paranoid” and unsure of what is acceptable in an “increasingly totalitarian system”, the Ministry of Defense’s London daily intelligence report said today.

The public display of objects in the colors of the Ukrainian flag, blue and yellow, is likely to be prosecuted. For example, a nursing home worker was reportedly arrested for showing up to work in a blue and yellow jacket. Another man was targeted by security authorities for showing the blue and yellow flag of the Russian Air and Space Forces.

Criticism of the approach has come from the ultranationalist Liberal Democratic Party of Russia, which supports the war in Ukraine but also has a blue and yellow logo.

The Ministry of Defense in London publishes daily information on the course of the war since the beginning of the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine, citing intelligence information. Moscow accuses London of a disinformation campaign.
