Shortly after takeoff on Friday, January 19, a Cessna Caravan turboprop aircraft landed on a highway in the United States. The emergency landing took place on the Loudoun County Parkway, one of the roads surrounding WashingtonDulles International Airport.
Data from the RadarBox platform shows that the C208 Grand Caravan of Southern Airways Express, one of the US regional airlines that operates in the socalled Essential Air Service (EAS), connecting the country's most remote communities with government subsidies, reached 1,000 feet (300 m ) reached ) altitude before we make a sharp right turn and end up on the highway.
The plane was en route to Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and experienced a problem about two minutes after takeoff. Although the number of people on board has not yet been announced, local authorities confirmed that no one was seriously injured.
