The trio Paul and Paul was founded in 1980, more than 40 years ago, by Serge Thériault, Jacques Grisé and Claude (29 years old). After several tours of Quebec, Claude and Serge continued the adventure as a duo, embodying their famous ding and dong, dressed in cowhide jackets, especially during the Lundis of the Ha! Ha!.

Twenty years ago, Pepsi-Cola introduced its new advertising campaign to be broadcast on all television channels in Quebec. Claude not only lent his image to the brand that wanted to dethrone Coca-Cola, but from 1984 he himself wrote around sixty amusing, humorous advertisements for Pepsi. The Meunier/Pepsi association existed for more than 25 years.

After years on stage, the duo moved to the cinema in 1990. Directed by Alain Chartrand (who died last December) Ding und Dong, the film has since been elevated to cult status. Claude and Serge Thériault take on the roles of two failed actors who, after inheriting a fortune, staged a crazy version of Corneille's Le Cid.

In 1991, Claude had fun promoting Mount Avalanche in Saint-Adolphe-d'Howard in the Laurentians, where he lives. He then followed up on the great success of the film “Ding and Dong”. We would soon see him on TV with The Wonderful World of Ding and Dong, followed by a certain…Little Life.

At the 1997 MétroStar Gala, Claude won the trophies for Best Lyrics for La petite vie and Best Humorous Interpretation for his role as Ti-Mé Paré. Since his hilarious situation comedy first aired on Radio-Canada in 1993, he has won Gémeaux and MétroStar every year.

  • Claude Meunier offered six new episodes of The little life, as part of the series' 30th anniversary. We find all the members of the cast there, including a Ti-Mé on Tinder and a Moman who has been going to the grocery store for…six months. It was directed by Pierre Séguin and co-written by Josée Fortier. On Ici Radio-Canada TV from February 10, 2024 or on tou.tvextra.
  • Claude returns on the album and on stage (yes!) in the role of Noël Denuy, with his Western group La Famille Denuy, which established the success It's Christmas 47 years ago. The whole family will be there, “all brothers, fathers or cousins, hard to say at the end”. At the Salle Claude-Léveillée at Place des Arts on January 22nd, 29th, February 5th and 12th, 2024.
