Comedian Benoît Brière returns to the screen there after health problems. “I’m fine, I’m up; I have the so-called extended warranty again,” he laughed in an interview with TVA Nouvelles on Sunday.

In particular, he explained that the diverticulitis he suffered was episodic and that he is now in better condition.

For whoever takes on the role of Raymond in the Quebec film, it was “sheer magic” to exchange responses with the young actors.

He describes them as great professionals. “They know what to do, how to do it, they are prepared […]they are willing to learn,” but most of all, he said, “they are humbled by their talent.”

“I have the mental age of these young people. […] When we said on set to calm down, we talked to me,” he said, laughing.

The veteran actor speaks the paparazzi seal in another Quebec film, Katak Beluga, which premiered in Montreal on Saturday.
