Comedian Joel Creasey hits back at being called a “left-wing lunatic”.

Joel Creasey has hit back at being labeled a “left wing madman”.

The 33-year-old comedian was interviewed by The Australian on Monday where he bristled at the catchphrase.

“People think I’m a left-wing nut.” “I don’t know if that’s because I was a host on The Project or because I supported marriage equality,” he said.

Far from being woke, Joel explained that he intentionally doesn’t bring politics into his appearances or his Nova radio show.

“When you drive home and listen to my radio show, you don’t want to be lectured.” “My job is to make you laugh and give you a little break from life.”

He concluded by saying that he finds it silly when people call him a “leftist” because he is apolitical in his views.

“I find it funny when people call me a lefty; “I never share my political views because I’m too stupid to have any,” he concluded.

Joel was just announced as the host of the Real Housewives of Sydney reunion, airing on Binge next month.

“I really want kids,” Joel told Chron Australia in 2018.

During an interview with Today Extra, Joel joked that he had been pursuing his boyfriend for four years before they even met.

“I followed him on Instagram for four years. “Worn him down,” he boasted.

“I saw he had tickets to the Adele concert and thought, ‘I think I like Adele too.’

“My stalking knows no bounds, I went after him,” he added jokingly.
