Stephen’s criminal life was almost exposed by Teddy during an episode that aired last month, before he was hit by a vehicle on his way to confront Stephen about his son Leo’s absence.

It was revealed that Stephen murdered Leo after discovering the structural engineer was insolvent and was stealing from his own mother.

Stephen picked up his phone, claiming to be Leo, and texted Teddy to say that he had moved to Canada alone and didn’t want him or Jenny to contact him.

For a time his plan worked, but Teddy became suspicious and traveled to Canada to confront his son.

Teddy returned to break the news to Jenny after realizing that Leo had never arrived in Canada, but Stephen had arrived before that.

Teddy was subsequently hit by a van and taken to the hospital, where he was placed in an induced coma to save his life.

Then Stephen went to kill Teddy to silence him permanently.

“Teddy, are you in there?” he murmured softly to the comatose figure.

He continued, “That’s the last thing I want to do. I’m genuinely sorry for what I did to Leo. It was an accident. I was panicking but still nothing going on here for so long old mate.’

But when Stephen was about to kill Teddy, Jenny sauntered back, unaware of the situation.

Instead, she got him out of there so Teddy could be examined by the doctors.

Back at the Rovers’ Return pub, she learned that Teddy would most likely survive.

Stephen was worried until he got information from six guys about his moped mishap and realized he could just sue them for monetary compensation.

They agreed to his demands of £10,000 before the end of tomorrow’s game and Stephen then announced he was leaving the country.
