A 33-year-old Seattle man who behaved “erratically” near Taylor Swift's home was arrested and charged with stalking on Monday, just days after an attempted break-in at the American singer's home.
According to the BBC, the New York Police Department (NYPD) received a complaint on Monday about an “emotionally disturbed man who was behaving erratically” near the 34-year-old socialite's home.
The man, identified as David Crowe, was quickly found and arrested by police. According to English media, he is said to have been accused of two counts of harassment and criminal harassment.
However, police have not confirmed whether the 30-year-old was behind an attempted break-in that took place at the singer's home just days earlier.
According to the BBC, Taylor Swift was not at home at the time but was at the stadium supporting her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce, during a game against the Buffalo Bills.
This is not the first time that the singer has been a victim of stalking. Her properties in New York, California and Rhode Island were reportedly targeted after they were published online by websites and tabloids. She previously expressed her regrets to the singer to Elle Magazine.
In 2022, a drunk man showed up at the entrance to his building in New York and tried to gain entry to the thirty-year-old's quarters.
Previously, Florida native Roger Alvarado was surprised in the singer's bed after breaking into her home. According to the Associated Press, the man, who was sentenced to more than nine months in prison for his crime, was allegedly caught trying to commit the crime again in February 2019, while he was still on probation.
