Leonardo DiCaprio narrowly missed an awkward confrontation with his ex-girlfriend Camila Morrone, whom he dated for nearly five years before calling it quits in 2022, at the 29th Annual Critics Choice Awards on Sunday night.
While he decided to skip the red carpet, the 26-year-old actress, who was nominated for her role as Camila Alvarez in the hit series “Daisy Jones & the Six,” put on a stunning show in a white peplum dress from Chanel Haute Couture, with plunging neckline as she posed for photographers in front of the Barker Hangar.
The model appeared to be in high spirits as she waved to onlookers before entering the same room as DiCaprio, 49.
The Titanic actor, who received rave reviews for his recent film Killers of the Flower Moon, is competing for the best actor category with Cillian Murphy, Bradley Cooper, Colman Domingo, Paul Giamatti and Jeffrey Wright.

She seemed unfazed by the possibility of running into her former lover, who broke up with her just months after her 25th birthday.
While she is currently single, he has since moved in with Italian model Vittoria Ceretti, who turned 25 in June.
In August 2022, DiCaprio and Morrone “quietly” ended their relationship, according to The Sun.
The recent breakup appears to reinforce the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood star's habit of never publicly dating anyone over 25.
“Leo and Camila ended their relationship over the summer,” a source said. “There are no bad feelings between them. “It just came to a natural conclusion.”
The Revenant star, who is 22 years older than Camila, was first introduced to Camila in 2008 when she was just 12 years old.
His long-time friend Al Pacino, who had dated Camila's mother Lucila Solá for years, introduced him to each other, and Leonardo apparently remained friends with the family for years.
Leonardo and Camila officially got together sometime in 2017 after he split from model Nina Agdal just days before the Cannes Film Festival, although reps for both initially denied they were together.
The two increased the profile of their relationship the following year when they attended Ellen DeGeneres' birthday party together, and later that year they were spotted showing off some PDA at Coachella.

In 2019, Leo's determination not to discuss his relationship publicly was tested when both he and Camila premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.
He introduced his Quentin Tarantino film “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood” while she was walking the red carpet for her acclaimed drama “Mickey and the Bear,” but the two did not run into each other at either screening and he identified her not as his girlfriend at the festival.
Later in the summer of 2019, Camila reminded her fans of Leo's penchant for dating young women when she posted a romantic photo of Humphrey Bogart and his much younger wife Lauren Bacall.
“A love like this,” she captioned it, even as many fans criticized her for dating a much older man.

“My God, people are so mean and full of anger at people they know nothing about,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories in response to the controversy. “I guess I just hope that this Friday people learn to live with a little less hate and put their time and interests elsewhere, because living without hate feels pretty good.”
In 2020, they continued their pattern of walking the red carpet separately, but their first public appearance as a couple came when they sat together at the Oscars this year.
By December, E! News reported that they had taken the big step of moving in together.
Throughout 2022, the couple was spotted being affectionate and was reported to be as strongly bonded as ever.
DiCaprio was even seen taking the dogs Camila raised on solo walks, suggesting he considered himself just as much of a parent to them as she did.
In June, the Wolf Of Wall Street star was pictured on a beach trip with his father and Al Pacino, who Camila believes is her stepfather even after splitting from her mother.
One of the last public sightings of the two appeared to be a trip to a beach in Malibu on July 3, although they were not pictured together at the time.
