Cuba takes part in preparatory meetings for the Mnoal Summit

The island's Foreign Ministry announced this on the social network

Starting today, Kampala, the capital of Uganda, welcomes representatives from more than 100 nations who are already debating the critical challenges facing the countries of the South and seeking consensus to adequately address these challenges, the Foreign Ministry said the platform.

In his inaugural address, Ugandan Foreign Minister Jeje Odongo noted that multilateralism and solidarity are needed more than ever to respond together to the challenges of the future.

The meeting will take place at the Speke Convention Center south of Kampala and the expert meetings precede ministerial meetings scheduled for next Wednesday and Thursday.

The NAM summit of heads of state and government begins on Friday and ends on Saturday.
